ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ 67ਵੇਂ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਹਿਰਾਈਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। 'ਵਿਭਿੰਨਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਏਕਤਾ' ਸਾਡੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਧਰਮ, ਭਾਸ਼ਾ, ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਆਦਿ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦੌਲਤ ਹੀ ਹੈ। 'ਵਿਭਿੰਨਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਏਕਤਾ' ਦਾ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਦਭਾਵਨਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
On the occasion of the 67th Republic Day of India, I extend my warm greetings to the citizens of Punjab. ‘Unity in diversity’ is the hallmark of our nation. It is because of this principle that all citizens of this country, irrespective of their religion, language, community etc. continue to live harmoniously. This principle of ‘unity in diversity’ is deeply engrained in Punjabi ethos and has helped maintain peace and harmony.
